India's four gold medals have come from women's cricket, mixed-team shooting and men's and women's kabaddi.

Day 10 produced eight Indian medals, including a particularly strong showing in athletics.

Athletics Takes Centre Stage

Athletics is expected to be one of India's biggest medal opportunities on Day 11, with several finals scheduled.

Gulveer Singh Eyes Another Medal

Gulveer Singh will compete in the men's 5000m final.

The Indian distance runner has already won two silver medals at these Games and will be looking to add another podium finish.

He will compete alongside Avinash Sable in the 5000m final.

Pooja Singh in Women's High Jump

Pooja Singh will compete in the women's high jump final.

She enters the event with one of India's key athletics medal opportunities on Day 11. Supriya Sindigere Basavaraju will also compete in the final.

Pole Vault, 800m and Relays

India will also be represented in:

  • Men's pole vault — Dev Kumar Meena, Kuldeep Kumar

  • Women's 800m — Pooja

  • Men's 800m — Mohammed Afsal

  • Women's hammer throw — Anushka Yadav, Tanya Chaudhary

The relay finals will provide further medal opportunities during the evening session.

Boxing: Three Indians Chase Finals

India also has important boxing semifinal bouts on Day 11.

Three Indian boxers are scheduled to compete for places in the finals:

  • Parveen — Women's 65kg

  • Ankush — Men's 80kg

  • Narender — Men's +90kg

A victory in the semifinals would take the respective boxers into the gold-medal bout, while losing semifinalists would receive bronze.

Shooting: Trap Events

Indian shooters will also be involved in the trap events.

Men's Trap

India's representatives include:

  • Kynan Chenai

  • Shapath Bharadwaj

  • Ahvar Rizvi

Women's Trap

India will be represented by:

  • Neeru

  • Aashima Ahlawat

Both the men's and women's competitions provide opportunities for India to add to its shooting medal tally.

Cricket: India Through to Men's Semifinal

India's men's cricket quarterfinal against Afghanistan was washed out because of rain, with no ball bowled.

As the higher-ranked team, India advanced to the semifinal.

India will now face Sri Lanka in the men's cricket semifinal. The other semifinal will feature Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The rain disruption has already affected multiple cricket matches at the Games, making the upcoming semifinals particularly important for the defending champions.

Day 10 Recap: Eight Medals for India

The athletics contingent delivered six of them, including:

  • Yashvir Singh — Silver, men's javelin

The men's cricket team will also remain a major focus after advancing to the semifinal without playing its quarterfinal because of rain.
